Great interest in Mesutronic foreign-body detectors at the Interpack

The Interpack, the leading trade fair for the packaging industry in Duesseldorf, drew to a close on 10 May 2017. Over a period of seven days, international exhibitors presented all the new items for the value creation chain in the packaging industry.

Packaging industry influences all branches of industry

The packaging industry is of prime important for all other branches of industry. No product is conceivable without the complex manufacturing processes. For this reason it is important for producers to ensure the quality of the products. Faulty product deliveries result in recalls and complaints, which cause high financial damages.

X-ray technology is ideal for securing product quality

For securing the quality of our customers’ products we presented our easySCOPE X-ray inspection system for inspecting packaged products at the Interpack. The X-ray appliance detects metallic and non-metallic contaminants such as glass, stones or plastics using an imaging technique – X-ray technology. However, other product defects can also be detected with the help of X-ray technology, such as the correct number of chocolates in a box or the ruling out or presence of sealing clips.

easySCOPE impresses with its price/performance ratio

The X-ray scanner impresses with its safety and reliability in the running process and saves time and money with its outstanding price/performance ratio. The inspection system is rounded off by simple operation and its high-quality, low-maintenance components plus extensive data management.

Great demand for multi-frequency technology

Our newly-developed multi-frequency technology was the subject of great demand at the trade fair booth. Optionally available for the METRON 07 CI high metal detector, this technology significantly reduces the work of setting up a metal detector, especially in the case of difficult products with a fluctuating product effect or packaging sizes.

New algorithm reduces work

With learning optimisation activated and the specification of a minimum detection standard to be adhered to, a new software algorithm determines – fully automatically – the maximum tolerance to any existing product fluctuations and disruptive influences. Furthermore, the detection accuracy determined thereby is displayed directly on the display after each learning process in the form of ball sizes for each type of metal.

Great interest in Mesutronic metal detection technology

The Interpack 2017 in Duesseldorf was a great success for us on account of the many interesting technical discussions and a large number of valuable contacts.

The next Mesutronic trade fair is the LIGNA in Hanover. At Booth H 46 in Hall 25 you can experience once again “Metal Detection Made in Germany” for the wood industry.

Mesutronic at the Interpack with more safety for your packaged products

Mesutronic GmbH is exhibiting the most diverse and proven metal detectors and separators for the food and pharmaceuticals industry at Booth F75 in Hall 11 at the Interpack in Düsseldorf. Trade fair highlights are the easySCOPE X-ray inspection system and the TRANSTRON S conveyor belt system with implemented METRON 07 CI metal detector. The latter is equipped with multi-frequency technology and many new software features.

In order to keep pace with the increasing demands of consumers and the retail trade, more and more producers in the packaging industry are relying on X-ray technology. The easySCOPE X-ray inspection appliance was specially developed for the examination of end-packaged products and, apart from the precise detection of magnetic and non-magnetic metals, it also enables the detection of other types of foreign body, such as glass, ceramics, stones, raw bones and several dense types of plastic. Not only that, X-ray technology can be used to determine many other product defects. By means of special algorithms, for example, sausages closure clips can be excluded from the check or the correct number of chocolates in a package can be determined.

TRANSTRON with multi-frequency-technology

A further highlight at the trade fair booth is the TRANSTRON S conveying system together with the METRON 07 CI high-end tunnel detector. The METRON 07 CI is equipped with the latest multi-frequency technology. With learning optimisation activated and the specification of a minimum detection standard to be adhered to, a new software algorithm determines – fully automatically – the maximum tolerance to any existing disruptive influences and product fluctuations. Furthermore, the detection accuracy determined thereby is displayed directly on the display in the form of ball sizes for each type of metal. As a result, the work required to set up the metal detector is considerably reduced, especially in the case of difficult products with a fluctuating product effect or packaging sizes.

Maintain the insight – ensure quality Mesutronic presents new foreign body detector at the IFFA 2016

Kirchberg/Frankfurt a.M. Mesutronic GmbH is presenting the new “easySCOPE” foreign body detector at the IFFA 2016. The x-ray inspection system conceived for the examination of packed products extends Mesutronic’s range of products for the food industry. Even for newcomers to X-ray technology, this unit represents the ideal entry into this method of foreign body control with its moderate price, high-quality and thus low-maintenance components, as well as extremely intuitive operation.

The system detects metallic and non-metallic contaminants such as glass, stones or plastics using an imaging technique – X-ray technology. Electromagnetic waves are emitted by the generator and penetrate the product. On the opposite side the non-absorbed radiation is picked up by the X-ray detector. The detection of the foreign body is then based on the evaluation of the difference in density between the product and the contaminant. In particular with aluminium-packed or other highly conductive products, the detection accuracy exceeds that of conventional magnetic-field-based metal detectors several times over.

It is compliant with common industry standards such as BRC or IFS as well as all legal standards; extensive reports and statistical functions help with the complete logging of all events. The hygienic design from Mesutronic prevents the accumulation of liquids and product residues, thus inhibiting the growth of microbes. The development work focused on the simple interaction of man and machine. A powerful industrial PC offers the user a clear operating interface, allowing intuitive operation of the appliance. All relevant functions, processes and recordings can be accessed on the high-resolution, 15-inch touch screen with just a few touches. Various advanced image processing and detection algorithms complete the advantages of the easySCOPE – and all of that at no additional cost.

Mesutronic GmbH has been manufacturing metal detectors, metal separators and X-ray inspection systems for over 20 years. From its headquarters in Kirchberg im Wald the company supplies customers all over the world in segments such as food, pharmaceuticals and hygiene.
