More InformationThis system demonstrates its strengths particularly when products are conveyed on the belt at consistent intervals. As soon as the integrated inspection system – whether a metal detector or an X-ray inspection system – identifies a defective or contaminated product, the reject flap responds instantly. Through a precisely controlled downward tilting movement, the defective product, the complete product row, or the entire product format is safely separated from the production flow and directed into a secured reject bin.
A key requirement for smooth operation is sufficient spacing between successive product formats. This clearance is essential to prevent packages from becoming jammed while the flap returns to its original position.
If the production line operates with very short product spacing and the required gap cannot be maintained, Mesutronic offers tailor-made alternatives. In such cases, a belt retraction system is the preferred solution to ensure maximum process reliability.
